You can see everything … but can you spot the typo?
It became a game fans of A24‘s upcoming Elizabeth Holmes documentary began playing online after the official trailer dropped Wednesday.
The typo involved a critic quote about the highly anticipated movie that appeared on screen during the footage.
The glitch created a twofold conversation thread: Can you spot the mistake? … And was it intentional?

After you spot it, you wonder how you missed it: “If you think you you know everything, think again.”
Many assumed the typo must have been on purpose, especially since it was generating conversation. After all, the Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim documentary about the disgraced Theranos founder is supposed to be a bit of a “what is reality?” mind-bender, and the “can you see it?” nature of the typo debate rather perfectly plays off the title of the film.
But sometimes a typo is simply a typo — A24 corrected the footage earlier today (and declined comment).
“It’s mental how many people thought that error was just Nathan Fielder playing 4D chess and came up with off-the-cuff lore like, ‘The repetition emphasizes that you is an unstable entity,’” marveled one user on Reddit.
Below is the corrected trailer. The new film will be released in theaters on Oct. 16 following its brief festival tour.
The Hollywood Reporter‘s critic wrote that in You Can See Everything, “What begins as a fascinatingly intimate portrait of a deluded or disingenuous scammer reveals as something even wilder, more ambitious and less predictable, until we’re left to ponder what value a personal truth has at all.”
