Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker has told fans he will no longer be signing autographs after learning that “aggressive” hounds were “using kids” as a tactic to get signatures.
Parker is currently out on the North American leg of the ‘Deadbeat’ arena tour, and took to Instagram Stories this morning (September 8) to share a “quick PSA” with fans about some changes he’d be making going forward.
“Due to the rise of aggressive autograph hounds, I won’t be signing anything or doing photos out the front of hotels or at airports at all anymore, so if you happen to catch me, please don’t be offended if I say no,” he wrote.
Parker said his hand has been forced, adding that while he “wasn’t that passionate about it before”, some autograph hounds had “started using kids, which I think is all kinds of wrong.”
Parker also added that he “won’t be coming out after shows to meet fans in the parking lot for the time being” due to security concerns, and concluded by saying: “So please have the best time at the shows and get home safe! See you tomorrow Portlandddd (don’t wait up).”

Tame Impala are due to play the Moda Center in Oregon tonight (September 8), before rounding out the last remaining US dates with shows across Denver, Phoenix, and Dallas.
The tour has seen Tame Impala bring out a series of special guests including Jennie and Djo. Back in July, the band invited the BLACKPINK member to assist on the viral, collaborative version of ‘Dracula’ during their show at the TD Garden in Boston.
The remix was released in February, and has since become a fixture in Jennie’s solo gigs – including her set at Mad Cool 2026 recently.
Just a day before being joined by Jennie, Parker joined forces once again with Djo (aka Stranger Things star Joe Keery) – who is opening on the current run.
Tame Impala also recently announced a return to the UK and Europe next summer with support from Wet Leg. They’re set to hit Manchester and London at the end of May and start of June before heading to Rotterdam, Paris, Cologne, Gdynia, Werchter, and Lisbon.
