There’s a new adaptation featuring Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon coming to TV with The Secret of Secrets, and Netflix has revealed the first glimpse of Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall on set (as Robert Langdon and Katherine Solomon, respectively) as production gets underway in Prague.

When does the Secret of Secrets series premiere?

It’s too soon to even speculate, but production officially begun in September, Netflix announced.

Who’s in the Secret of Secrets series cast?

The series stars Morgan Spector as Robert Langdon, Rebecca Hall as Katherine Solomon, Cherry Jones as Heidi Nagel, Corey Stoll as Everett Finch, Rob Delaney as Jonas Faukman, Abbey Lee as Sasha Vesna, Mamadou Athie as Michael Harris, Ben Levi Ross as Alex Conan, Anamaria Marinca as Dr. Gessner, Richard Sammel as Karl Muller, and Elena Saurel as Susan Housemore.

Spector’s Robert Langdon is described as “a Harvard professor and world-renowned symbologist whose eidetic memory and puzzle-solving abilities help him unravel mysteries at the intersection of science and spirituality.”

“Morgan is a truly wonderful actor whose work is always filled with intelligence, thoughtfulness and humanity,” showrunner, writer, and executive producer Carlton Cuse said of the casting. “He’s the perfect fit for Robert Langdon – a brilliant academic whose curiosity, intelligence, and intellect are the tools of his trade.”

Hall plays Katherine Solomon. Jones stars as Heide Nagel, Stoll as Everett Finch, Delaney as Jonas Faukman, and Lee as Sasha Vesna.

The series is based on the 2025 novel by Dan Brown, who will executive produce. He and Cuse are cocreators.

Joining showrunner and writer Cuse and Brown as executive producers are Emma Forman for Genre-Arts and Zoe Robyn.

Who else has played Robert Langdon?

The character has been part of five other books: Angels & Demons (2000), The Da Vinci Code (2003), The Lost Symbol (2009), Inferno (2013), and Origin (2017).

Tom Hanks played the character in three film adaptations of The Da Vinci Code (2006, pictured below), Angels & Demons (2009), and Inferno (2016). Ashley Zukerman played a younger version of the character in the 2021 one-season TV series The Lost Symbol.
