He’s a master at it! Ken Jennings shared a backstage video of how he gets ready for a day filming Jeopardy!
“Looking good, Ken. The #JeopardyMasters two-week primetime event begins TOMORROW at 8/7c on ABC. Stream on Hulu,” the Instagram post on August 24 was captioned. “Get ready with Jeopardy! Masters host, Ken Jennings.”
The beginning of the video had Jennings sitting in a chair with a white and tan striped salon cape on top of him. A crew member touched up his face with some makeup that seemed to consist of cover-up.
The video then showed the game show host raising his eyebrows up and down with a smirk in the mirror. He had one AirPod in his ear, so he listened to something as he got ready.
Then, Jennings was seen tying his tie in his dressing room. He wore a light-blue shirt and navy pants, as well as a lighter blue tie with squares on it.
Once he was dressed and put his suit jacket on, Jennings sat in a chair as a woman made sure his hair looked camera-ready. Another woman reached for his waist and made sure his belt sat right and that his shirt was properly tucked in.
“Showtime!” he said, walking out of his dressing room. Jennings then showed everyone his final look as he walked out on stage for the premiere of Jeopardy! Masters.
Fans reacted to the video in the comments. “I was hoping to see Ken walk in with scraggly hair and bags under his eyes,” one said.
“I want to know what @whoiskenjennings is listening to in those AirPods!!” another commented. Many other fans asked him to drop his “get ready” mix.
“Ken, we need suit details #outfit of the game,” a third added.
“Very dapper,” a fan said.
“It takes a village,” one last one wrote.
Season 4 of Jeopardy! Masters kicks off on August 25. The show will air for two weeks on Tuesdays through Fridays, showing two episodes per night.
Champions Yogesh Raut, Juveria Zaheer, Victoria Groce, Paolo Pasco, Andrew He, and Long Nguyen are all competing for $500,000, the Masters trophy, and the glory of winning. The winner will also get $100,000 donated to the charity of their choice. Who will win it all?
