Christopher Lambert, an actor best known for playing Connor MacLeod in the Highlander film series, suffered a medical emergency at the Steel City Con near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
Lambert was signing autographs at the fan convention when he collapsed, a witness told TMZ. He was then transported from the Monroeville Convention Center via ambulance.
A representative for Lambert told TMZ later that day the actor was “perfectly OK” and resting in his hotel room. Lambert hadn’t slept well the night before or eaten much on Saturday, and his blood sugar was low, the rep added.
And on Saturday evening, the Steel City Con announced on Facebook that Lambert would be returning to the convention on Sunday morning.
TMZ also reported Lambert was certain he’d be well enough to attend the FAN EXPO Chicago, which runs from Friday, August 14, to Sunday, August 16. His episode on Saturday follows a back injury he incurred in 2025 when he tripped on a set of stairs while entering a hotel, as TMZ reported last year.

In the comments of Steel City Con’s Facebook post, fans sent well-wishes to the actor. “Hope he’s going to be all right,” one wrote. “Highlander is my favorite movie of all time, and I wish he didn’t have to go through that scare today.”
“I’m so glad he’s OK and [that] he’ll be back,” said another.
“Prayers and positive thoughts to him,” a third fan wrote.
Lambert portrayed Connor MacLeod, a centuries-old Scottish swordsman facing enemies in contemporary New York City, in the 1986 film Highlander and reprised the role in 1991’s Highlander II: The Quickening, 1994’s Highlander III: The Sorcerer, and 2000’s Highlander: Endgame, plus one episode of the Highlander TV series.
His other film appearances include playing Lord Raiden in 1995’s Mortal Kombat and the title character in 1984’s Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. He also won a César Award for Best Actor for his performance as the burglar Fred in the 1985 thriller film Subway.
