Riyadh Air Gets Green Light to Operate in U.S.

Riyadh Air received approval from the Department of Transportation to operate flights in the U.S., the agency said Tuesday. 

“We tentatively find and conclude that the public interest warrants granting the applicant a foreign air carrier permit,” the DOT order read. The carrier had applied to operate flights between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia on May 5. 

The approval marks another major step for Riyadh Air, an upstart carrier backed by Saudi
