Aaron Bucks Releases Back-to-Back Singles
Culture, Events, Music

Nashville based, Canadian born, Aaron Bucks, released a two-sided single of sorts, with two songs going on the forthcoming The Life Sessions LP to be released in 2026, and they both hit check all the right boxes and do the business to keep listeners looking forward to it. Bucks’ audience range from the Billboard charts to satellite radio, and it has taken him to rooms such as The Listening Room, 3rd & Lindsey, and the legendary Blue Bird Cafe. But it’s his unique combination of genres and songwriting that stand out the most, and it’s largely a product of his lifestyle, behaviors, and dedication to his children.

“Where I’m Home” and “Jump Into The Weekend” are the two tracks in question, with an emphasis on the former, and a solid mention of the latter being the point of recommending both tracks to sink ears into before the winter sets in, leaving these tracks to a late listeners looking for something to take the summer out. I’m not sure, but it’s safe to say they can be found in Country circles, but there’s another side in the fusion of it all, which could produce a range of cultures after these good songs.

“Where I’m Home” starts the vehicle with the slower of the two tracks, and that makes no difference in the greater scheme of Bucks’ music, it just separates the tempo between the two songs as the singles preceding The Life Sessions LP, and the rest should be gravy once it’s out in 2026.

“Where I’m Home” tells precisely where Bucks wants to be after a long trip or just arriving home from any excursion. It works on every level it’s going for with Bucks doing his level best to execute his point and keep listeners engaged without losing them in one genre or the other at hand.

It’s not easy keeping the attention of certain listeners when they clearly have more than one to choose from, so the idea is to accept all that is Aaron Bucks and see where it gets you. “Where I’m Home” goes a long way in getting you to choose both, as it also gets you into the several more influences clearly felt in his music. It’s almost like a dimmer switch is there to turn one side of things up and the other side down, but you can’t find it.

The fusion is magical, so you let it do its ticks and find the playful blend to prove value to the music, and suddenly you get it. “Jump Into The Weekend” also provides a fun-loving admixture of Country music, laughter and colors not provided in the former song, but taking nothing away from it in the process, it’s just two different moods travelling in the same lane, and you can’t fault either song. What you can do is partake and enjoy something you might not be familiar with, unless you’re a musician mining the same ideas Aaron Bucks is coming up with, and it’s not going around in abundance, so he owns it thus far to these ears.
