Cindy Crawford penned an emotional tribute to her son, Presley Gerber, following his death at 27.

On Sunday, October 18, Crawford took to Instagram with a heartbreaking message nearly one month after Presley died at a rehab facility near Santa Monica, California. An official cause of death is pending in his September 20 death.

“Presley Walker Gerber, July 2, 1999-September 20, 2026,” Crawford began her tribute.

The bereaved mother continued, “We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother. We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years. He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability.”

Additionally, the supermodel expressed her gratitude for the “outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain.” She concluded, “Til we meet again our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia.”

Presley was the son of Crawford, 60, and her husband, Rande Gerber, 64. They also share a daughter, model and actress Kaia Gerber, 25.

At 15, Presley followed in his famous mother’s footsteps when he launched his modeling career. He made his runway debut at 16 and had modeled for brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, and Tommy Hilfiger. Additionally, he appeared with his mom in a Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi in 2018.

In January 2019, Presley was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He received three years of probation and was ordered to complete a DUI program and two days of community service.

Presley reportedly went into cardiac arrest, according to a Santa Monica Police Department dispatch call, following an overdose, per People.

An autopsy was completed. However, the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner said in a statement, “A deputy medical examiner performed an examination today and the cause and manner of death have been deferred, which means additional testing and/or studies were requested in order to make a determination. Due to the ongoing death investigation, the DME cannot disclose what testing and/or studies were requested. Deferred cases can take a few months before a cause of death is determined.”
