Judge Jackie Glass, host of the syndicated legal television show Swift Justice, has died. She was 70.
Glass’ daughter Rachel Wolfson announced her death on Facebook. She died Friday in Las Vegas, according to TMZ.
“Rip my rock, I don’t know how I’ll do this life without you, I love you so much mommy Jackie Glass, I’ll see you again someday,” Wolfson wrote, while also sharing a follow-up post with a series of images alongside her mother.
Glass, a previous long-standing Clark County judge, took over hosting Swift Justice in 2011, serving as the successor to Nancy Grace, who first led the show. She went into the series with a prominent presence, having served as the judge who sentenced O.J. Simpson to 33 years in prison for armed-robbery at a Las Vegas hotel in 2008. He was later granted parole in 2017, and died in 2024 at age 76 after a battle with prostate cancer.
She led Swift Justice through its last season in 2012. At the time, when it was announced she was taking the reigns for Grace, executive producer John Terenzio said he was “excited to introduce viewers to another true original Judge Jackie Glass — we are confident our viewers will enthusiastically embrace her.”
Before she was elected to the judgeship in Clark County in 2003, she spent 18 years as a lawyer in private practice, including 12 years at Wolfson & Glass, a firm she founded with her husband Steve Wolfson.
Glass is survived by her husband and two daughters.
