It’s No Taylor Swift Effect, but Harry Styles’ Residency Offers NYC Operators a Boost

Between the World Cup, Knicks championship, and Taylor Swift wedding, it’s been an exciting summer for New York City.

Next on the list of major marquee events: Harry Styles’ two-month Madison Square Garden residency.

The “Together, Together” tour kicks off its 30-show New York City leg on August 26, following other appearances in Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, and Mexico City. It’s no global Eras Tour, but Styles’ concerts are expected to offer New York City hotel and short-term rental operators a sustainable boost.

“New York’s had a very strong year anyway,” said Didio Pequeno, CoStar’s director of hospitality market analytics. “Occupancy is pretty high. ADR [average daily rate] is pretty high. RevPAR [revenue per available room] is really high. So I think this could just potentially add to that.”
