Alix Earle Talks Filming Alex Cooper Drama for ‘Earle Meets World’ (Exclusive)

Fans have gotten a look inside Alix Earle‘s life on her social media pages for years, but her new Netflix series Earle Meets World will pull back the curtain even further. And this time, she’s doing it with her entire family by her side.

“I feel like I was the hardest to get onboard,” Alix’s younger sister, Ashtin Earle, tells TV Insider. “I was the most apprehensive. I remember my dad was like, ‘You still have the contract that you need to sign,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah…’”

Alix says the girls’ stepmom, Ashley Dupré, who joined the family after a 2008 affair with the girls’ dad, TJ Earle, was also a bit hesitant. “I think it took a bit for everyone to fully get onboard, but we have had so many other people talk about our family and have that story out there that we wanted to show it and do it for ourselves,” she explains. “And we were like, ‘You know what? We’re a pretty entertaining crew. There’s always something going on.’”

Ashley and TJ’s three kids are also part of the show, along with Alix and Ashtin’s mom, Alisa, and her boyfriend, Todd. ” I think we all mutually agreed that if we’re going to do this, we all have to agree and [all] be willing to do it,” Ashtin confirms. “And if one person wasn’t going to do it, then we wouldn’t have done it.”

In addition to putting her family history on display, Alix was also filming the show when her former friend and mentor Alex Cooper called her out for liking negative social media posts about her in April. Cooper urged Alix to “get specific and just say what you’ve got to say about me,” noting, “There’s no NDA,” and Alix responded, “Okay on it!!!”

But she’s kept tight-lipped since then, which means Earle Meets World is her first chance to address the drama directly. “I think it’s really impossible to even fit everything I would probably want to say into a single episode of a show anyway,” Alix admits. “And I think we weren’t planning to say anything or film anything, and that sort of just unfolded at the time that we were filming. So it was the real emotions of me sitting with my family, not knowing what to say or what to post online and what to do.”

As for whether she’s worried about how Cooper will react when the show comes out, Alix says, “I mean, it’s hard to predict what someone’s going to do or what someone’s going to say, but we don’t know and I can’t spend my time worrying about that. Yeah.”
