Aman Threatened to Call Police on a YouTube Creator

YouTube creator Ryan Walker had a reservation, a confirmation email and a two-hour drive behind him when Amanvari’s security guards stopped his car at the gate.

The guards knew his name, as shown in the video Walker posted afterward. They also told him they had no record of his booking. He showed them an email from the resort’s reservations team, sent that morning, confirming his arrival. He asked to speak with a manager and was refused. 

Then, someone said they were calling the police. 

Walker, a luxury-hotel reviewer with about 150,000 YouTube subscribers, posted an 11-minute account titled “Amanvari Called the Police on Me.” It has drawn almost 700,000 views with over 5,000 comments.

Aman, the ultra-luxury brand behind the newly opened Amanvari resort on Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, has not commented publicly on the episode, and has not responded to Skift’s request for
