The trailer for Billie Eilish’s new concert movie features behind the scenes footage from her tour, as well as the “puppy room” she created for herself and her crew.
The film, titled Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), is directed by James Cameron as well as the ‘Bad Guy’ singer, with the two featured collaborating in the trailer for the movie. Check the full video out below.
The clip opens with Eilish testing the 3D aspects of filming, with Cameron assuring her: “This is gonna blow people’s minds”. It also shows the rigorous demands of being on tour, as well as the artist’s feelings on performing live. “I want it to feel like it’s me and them” she said at one point. “I love that.”
There are also performance clips, with the concert footage captured at last year’s Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, specifically the dates in Manchester. The trailer shows her hidden in a box as she’s moved to the stage, as well as the set from the tour.
The clip ends with Eilish playing with a group of puppies, something she said she has instituted to relieve the stress of touring. “Tour is so brutal and so taxing, I like to have a puppy room for the guys to go chill,” she said, adding: “We try to have whatever rescue organisation is around and available to bring the dogs and puppies.” Cameron is seen in the room, saying to the singer: “I’m doing this on my next movie for sure.”
Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) is released in cinemas on May 8.
Last month, it emerged Eilish is in talks to make her film acting debut, appearing in a new adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar directed by Sarah Polley.
