New Music Review: Kevin North Band “Never Trust A Man With Egg On His Face”

Music

The San Francisco based rock, soul and folk band the Kevin North Band has recently released a cover originally by Adam and the Ants called “Never Trust a Man with Egg on his Face.” The song is from Adam’s debut album “Dirk Wears White Sox” which has become a legend within the punk scene and music industry itself.

The Kevin North Band with frontman Kevin North created a version of the song that Adam would be proud of. It takes those who are familiar back to a cool time in music history when the Sex Pistols began and the era of Vivienne Westwood and Jordan Mooney prevailed. For those who are hearing it for the first time it opens up a new revolution for those to celebrate.

The song was produced by “No” Mansfield otherwise known as the frontman of the San Francisco psyche band Revolushn. No has worked with artists including Aretha Franklin, Rod Stewart, Berlin, No Doubt, Devo and many others. He has been in the music business for over 6 decades and plays 18 instruments as well as writing his own songs.

Kevin North can be found around the Bay Area in clubs as well as on the streets in front of art galleries playing live with his band. He loves playing in the streets as the challenge of keeping the audience entertained drives him and the band. It also does not set a limit of an age group as it often does in clubs and other venues.
