Opening soon is the first Denver outpost for Urban Cowboy Hotels, the brand’s Westernmost historic boutique property. Located in the Capital Hill neighborhood of the Mile High City, Urban Cowboy’s 16 unique suites are housed in a historic Queen Anne style Guided Era Mansion that’s been lovingly restored and reimagined. Three floors of maximalist details bring to life this 1800s space, bringing something to discover at every turn.

This historic gem — formerly the George Schleier Mansion — will feature a Public House restaurant in the mansion’s old carriage house, a wine bar in the lobby, and plenty of Urban Cowboy’s signature design elements throughout, such as custom wallpaper, and antique whatnots collected from around the world.

But it’s the boutique hotel’s suite with a pair of freestanding clawfoot bathtubs that has us obsessed. They’re the fanciest cowboy baths in Colorado, made of hammered copper with gold faucets, handheld shower-heads, and exposed copper plumbing. As if waiting for Bonnie and Clyde or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, they sit side-by-side in the center of the bathroom, beneath an Edison bulb chandelier, facing a a curved wall of windows topped with stained glass.

Add a bottle of whisky or wine and some bubble bath to the scene, and it’s quite the romantic setting for modern cowboys and cowgirls — dirty or not.
