In our second installment of the most anticipated property openings around the world, here is a curated list of new openings in Mexico & the Caribbean for 2024.

SHA Mexico – Scheduled to open January 2024

Clinical wellness leader SHA Wellness Clinic will be opening their second location in Costa Mujeres, Mexico, just 35 minutes north of Cancun International Airport. With 100 suites and 35 residences, SHA Mexico will be a health-centered wellness paradise in a setting of pristine nature and cultural heritage. The pioneering wellness brand will be bringing their clinical approach to wellness bringing the latest advances in scientific medicine and the most effective natural therapies with a focus on preventive, genetic and anti-aging medicine. Guests will soon be able to book one of their specialized four, 7, 14 and 21-day programs, choosing between an optimal weight, healthy aging, advanced detox, rebalance, leader’s performance or intensive (optimal weight and advanced detox focus. In addition to health and wellness offerings, on-site amenities will include two restaurants, a hydrotherapy circuit, spa, meditation rooms, direct beach access and a natural cenote.

Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe – Scheduled to open Q1 2024

Just 90 minutes from the U.S. border, Banyan Tree Group’s wellness-centric brand Veya will plant a flag in the hills of Baja California. Marking the first Banyan Tree Veya to open in the Americas and only the second in the world, the retreat will feature 30 spacious villas, all which feature their own private plunge pool. The tranquil sanctuary will immerse guests in the brand’s proprietary ‘eight pillars of wellbeing’ with an emphasis on embodiment therapies and somatic practices. It will be home to three culinary outlets, a signature Veya Spa; various wellbeing experiences including a desert spring hydrotherapy, traditional temazcal and apothecary garden and a private winery.

Hotel Mousai Cancun – Scheduled to open May 2024

The new all-inclusive, adults-only oceanfront resort will offer an elevated experience to guests along the famed Cancun beaches. Located along the white sand beach of Costa Mujeres, the resort will offer a rooftop infinity pool and bar with a clear sea horizon, spacious and well-appointed suite accommodations, signature dining options, a state-of-the-art gym, access to the Spa Imagine and more. Vacation in style with their spacious Ultra Suites, each featuring a private terrace with jacuzzi and sweeping ocean views.

Our Habitas Mazunte – Scheduled to open Spring 2024

Amidst jungle treetops with breathtaking views of the Pacific coastline, the resort is located in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. The sustainable hideaway will invite travelers to connect with others while exploring the region’s natural beauty and enjoying the private beach club. Comprising 28 rooms perched on the jungle treetops, each room will offer Pacific Ocean views and are designed with a seamless and natural aesthetic. The hotel experience will be built around human connection inspired by programming across wellness, adventure, music, art, food and learning. Just an hour’s drive from Puerto Escondido and Huatulco airport, guests will gather at The Clubhouse which has a panoramic pool, expansive views and open-air kitchen and feature a mezcal and tea bar complete with healthy smoothies, teas and locally-inspired cocktails.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol – Scheduled to open in Spring 2024.

Sitting on more than 20 hectares of oceanfront, the new resort will be situated between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo and offer 96 rooms and suites along with 61 residences, villas and estates. Set to offer eight food and beverage options, a signature Four Seasons spa and a cutting-edge fitness center, three pools and more, guests will also have access to a private beach and one of the region’s top golf courses, Cabo Del Sol Course. Other planned amenities include an organic farm and garden offering true sea- and farm-to-table dining experiences; a family park; as well as a signature member services and outdoor adventure program. Set to blend Mexican chic with a cool Mediterranean vibe, learn to free dive or enjoy a front-row seat to whale season right off the resort’s beach.

Our Habitas Santa Teresa – Scheduled to open Spring 2024

Following the company’s success of 4 properties in Latin America, Our Habitas Santa Teresa will be Our Habitas’ first home in Costa Rica. Located on the southernmost tip of Nicoya Peninsula, steps away from Santa Teresa’s idyllic white sand beaches, the resort will feature 45 rooms and 10 luxury tents. The beachfront sanctuary will offer experiences including sunset bonfires, horseback rides on the beach, meditation classes, mountain biking through lush jungles, paddle boarding and waterfall excursions. Located just minutes from Playa Santa Teresa’s surf break, there will be ample gathering spaces like the beachfront infinity pool and surf shack, as well as a restaurant and bar for guests to relax and connect.

Six Senses La Sagesse – Scheduled to open May 2024

Designed in the style of a traditional fishing village with rooms, suites and residences overlooking a picturesque lagoon, Six Senses La Sagesse is Six Senses’ first Caribbean resort. Across 38 acres (15 hectares) within the natural topography of the spice island which is Grenada, guests will be afforded the utmost privacy along with uninterrupted views over the turquoise sea. Influenced by the region’s traditional architecture, the design language mimics a Caribbean village and the resort will offer 56 two-level pool suites and 15 villas designed with natural, renewable and repurposed materials.

Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol – Scheduled to open mid-2024

Just 20 minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas, in the exclusive Cabos del Sol community on the Baja California Sur coast, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol is set along two miles of white sandy beaches. Overlooking the iconic Sea of Cortez, the resort will boast 163 ocean-view guest rooms and suites, 19 villas and residences, five pools, world-class golf, a full-service spa and a fitness and wellness center. Along with a Beach Club and poolside cabana service, guests can also enjoy unique culinary experiences, including a Mediterranean-inspired signature restaurant and a Mexican restaurant.

St. Regis Cap Cana – Scheduled to open in Summer 2024

Offering both 200 rooms and suites and 70 luxury homes, the resort is perfectly positioned with 800 feet of private beachfront featuring views of both the crystal blue water and the Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Club. Guests will have access to seven resort pools, St. Regis’ signature spa and iconic bar, a beach club, kids club, state of the art fitness and wellness center and more. Tucked inside a gated seaside enclave along one of the most alluring beaches in the world, guests will also be able to book off-property excursions.
