Dolly Parton is going to be working 9-5 on a new movie! Word on the street is: the beloved musician/godmother of literacy/vaccine funder/hotly contested Rock & Roll hall of fame nominee has signed on for Hello Sunshine’s adaptation of Run, Rose, Run. The book, which she co-wrote with the prolific James Patterson, was published by Little, Brown earlier this month and is already (surprise surprise) a New York Times bestseller.

At the heart of this thriller is a young singer-songwriter who goes to Nashville to follow her dreams—but she’s also on the run. And whatever it is that’s buried in her past is catching up with her. Here You Come Again!

She’ll also be a producer on the project. Honestly, is there anything Dolly Parton can’t do? She certainly wears a lot of hats… or a Coat of Many Colors. It’s the Dolly Parton x James Patterson x Reese Witherspoon collaboration we didn’t know we needed.
