In some very welcome news, Sephora has announced that it has revamped its Beauty Insider loyalty program – and the changes are pretty major.

From tomorrow, for the first time ever, shoppers will be able to earn cash rewards with every dollar spent. Called Beauty Insider Cash, shoppers will automatically be able to redeem a $10 voucher at checkout when they reach 500 points. Plus, Sephora will hold point multiplier days across the year whereby customers can earn two, three or four times the points for every dollar spent, depending on their membership level.

The minimum spend for free shipping is also being lowered for VIB and Insider-level members – for VIBs, they’ll now get free shipping on purchases of $35 or more and Insiders on purchases over $50. Rouge members will continue to be able to access free standard shipping on all orders. Beginning in the fall, Rouge members will also be given first access to new product launches.

The birthday gift offering has also been overhauled, allowing customers to choose from new categories including haircare and skincare and featuring buzzy brands like Briogeo, MILK Makeup and Sol De Janeiro.

When social distancing measures ease, Sephora will also introduce a set of beauty experiences for its loyalty members including “a one-on-one meet-up with a brand founder, a facial from a skincare guru, or a chance to see how their favourite product is made,” according to a release.

The news follows the brand’s announcement that it will reopen several of its stores across Canada from tomorrow. For the full list, click here.
