This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, and the show is going to be bigger and better than ever. In honor of the nation’s 250th Independence Day celebration, the fireworks display is expanding to the Brooklyn Bridge, lower East River, and lower Hudson River.

Those who aren’t in New York City to check out the fireworks in person can watch the event on television. Terry Crews will be hosting and there will be tons of great performances, in addition to the fireworks display.

“This year’s broadcast will be especially meaningful as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America and the 50th anniversary of ‘Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks,’” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Live Events and Specials, at NBC and Peacock. “This beloved live event creates a shared moment for viewers across the country while showcasing the powerful reach of both NBC and Peacock.”
