Chrissy Costanza has shared her latest video game collab with ‘Blazing Heart’, a fiery rock anthem recorded for the Genshin Impact soundtrack.

Genshin Impact is an action role-playing video game, first released in 2020. Over the years, a number of new characters have been introduced to the game with the latest being Mavuika. The Pyro Archeon is the current ruler of Natalan and was first teased during the ‘Ignition’ sneak-peak ‘A Name Forged in Flames‘ which was released last summer.

Last week, Mavuika was finally made available as a playable character in Genshin Impact as part of the 5.3 update that also introduced the new Chapter 5: Act 5 – Incandescent Ode Of Resurrection quest. Mavuika’s story quest Sol Invictus Chapter: Act I was also made available.

To celebrate the new character, Genshin Impact shared new track ‘Blazing Heart’ featuring vocals from Against The Current’s Chrissy Costanza.

“Fuel is essential to keeping a flame alive, and it’s the one thing Natlan never wants for. Ignite your burning wishes, and we can stoke a fire that endures even the longest of nights,” reads the official description. Sharing the news of the track, Costanza wrote: “So stoked to collaborate with Genshin Impact on the song ‘Blazing Heart’. #StandWithMavuika.”

‘Blazing Heart’ is the latest in a long line of video game collabs for Chrissy Costanza. Last year, she teamed up with Marvel Rivals for ‘Rivals ‘Til The End’ and provided the soundtrack to Final Fantasy 14’s newest raid Arcadion with ‘Give It All’. She’s also been involved in several League Of Legends anthems including the iconic ‘Legends Never Die’.

Speaking about her unofficial role as the queen of video game music, Costanza told NME: “I’ve made so many lifelong relationships through gaming. That community aspect is really important, especially with MMOs. Growing up without like-minded people around you can be incredibly isolating, but being able to dive into these games and connect with people who are passionate about the same things you are is so powerful.”

In other news, My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is among the voice cast for a new Dungeons & Dragons pinball machine to celebrate 50 years of the gaming franchise.
