Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero U.S. Release Date Revealed by Poster

A new poster has revealed the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero U.S. release date. The film, which is distributed by Crunchyroll in the U.S. and globally, will arrive on August 19. That is two months after the Japanese release date, which is next week on June 11, 2022.

“The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2,” reads the official synopsis. “These two Androids call themselves ‘Super Heroes’. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!”

The anime adaptation of Dragon Ball Super ended in March 2018 after 131 episodes aired. This marks the second movie for Dragon Ball Super, which is the highly successful sequel series to Dragon Ball Z. The first film was Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which was directed by Tatsuya Nagamine and written by Akira Toriyama. Broly took place after the events of the Universe Survival Saga and features Goku and Vegeta taking on the legendary Saiyan.
