Singer/songwriter and DJ/producer Kayten owns her strength with her newly released single, “Done With You.”
Laced with bold trap elements and a grungy, pop edge, Kayten takes inspiration from a dark experience and transforms it into art. The pain and perseverance can be heard in her voice from the very first moments as she sings out: You fucked me up, A diamond cut.
The track progresses with deep hits, distorted hats and a whirlwind of synths as Kayten expresses herself, remaining 100% true to herself. Writing from her own perspective makes the track that much more authentic and original.
Kayten shares of the release: “This song was the only thing that got me through something extremely horrible that happened in my life last year. Now, every time I hear it, I’m reminded of my strength.”
