Angela Friis is a Chicago native, who has been in the arts and entertainment industry for over 30 years, wearing many hats as a makeup artist, casting agent, and PA, she also has appeared on a reality show and has had cameos in various other TV shows. She has modeled and appeared several times in numerous publications including Vogue Italia. Angela also co-founded a film fest in AZ that ran for several years, giving back proceeds to the homeless community.
Angela is an avid animal lover and is always searching for some inspiration to bring to the world, during a difficult period in her life, The Mending Muse was born as she started creating inspiration cards. Not only was the company inspiring others it always was helping to make a difference in the community. Angela gives back with each sale or event booked to national animal charities, homeless people, and abused women. As the GEO (Goat Executive Officer ) and Goat Mom, she knew working with these goat “kids” they we’re special and helped heal her soul and in turn, she wanted others to feel the goat effect.
Through them, I have the ability to help people reconnect to themselves and nature while helping to make a difference in our community. Angela learned, trained, and studied the goat’s behavior for several years and one thing for certain, they are confident animals that have a keen sense of energy, loyalty, and love to socialize. They do not allow the opinion of others to hold them back when they want something and they are easily trained. The best feeling in the world is walking into a room of people and watching their faces change from tense to happy and seeing moods instantly gets uplifted. Goat energy is what Angela wants to bring to the world or as she calls it the “goat effect”. The Mending Muse brings the Wally and Billy goat all over Chicago and the suburbs visiting nursing homes, hospitals, goat yoga, mental health, and wellness, birthday parties, corporate team building, film & tv, red carpet appearances, zoom calls, and even individual pet therapy.
The Mending Muse pet services are always uplifting, inspiring, and professional. They have been seen on ABC as one of the most inspiring businesses during Covid. Featured on Fox News, written up in Chicago’s newspapers including The Sun Times, Daily Herald, The Doings, and several others.
