Cancer is an ugly, deadly disease that has affected almost everyone’s life in some way. Upon diagnosis, the road to recovery is often regarded as a battle — one that requires every ounce of physical strength and overwhelming mental fortitude. Here, we celebrate all the rock and metal musicians who have beaten cancer and serve as an inspiration to anyone impacted by it.
Over decades and decades, cancer has claimed the lives of a multitude of musicians and we should consider ourselves grateful these 26 artists still have a presence in all our lives, even if some have retired in recent years.
