
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will be introducing its luxury, collection-style brand Vignette Collection in India through a conversion project in Panchkula, near Chandigarh, Sudeep Jain, managing director, South West Asia at IHG, told Skift in an exclusive interaction.
The 145-room hotel with 11 suites, is a renovated conversion of an existing IHG property being operated as a Holiday Inn hotel, and is expected to open early this year.
“Things are becoming a little easier in India with the infrastructure growth, the advent of financing and other factors,” according to Jain.
That, he said, is shortening the time it takes to turn signed projects into operating hotels.
