Micaela Soler Astorga, known professionally as Micky Soler, was born in Hanau am Main, Germany, to a Spanish family. She earned her degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Information Sciences at the University of Seville in Spain. Over the years, she has contributed to several newspapers, including Ceuta Información, Diario de Cádiz, La Voz de Almería, and El Correo de Andalucía. Her literary work has also appeared in various cultural magazines, such as La Tregua, Sobreverbos (both from Granada), RE-VOLVER, and Seville’s legendary GALLO DE VIDRIO.
From an early age, Micky has been deeply passionate about artistic creation, exploring drawing, theater, and—above all—literature. At just 12 years old, she wrote her first novel, Sucedió en Kansas City. Since then, she has co-authored short stories in the book collection Young Writers of the 21st Century and contributed poetry to the anthology Poets of the Encounter.
Beyond her literary pursuits, Micky has actively participated in the performing arts, having been part of the ODISEA theater group in San Fernando (Cádiz), where she performed in various plays. In 2000, she relocated to the United Kingdom, where she lived and worked for many years. Leading up to the pandemic, she split her time between the UK and Spain.
Since 2020, Micky has been a regular contributor to Ventanas Abiertas Magazine in Madrid. In 2021, she launched and began editing OriGinaL MagaZine, a bilingual digital publication focused on art, culture, and creativity. Covering an array of topics—art, literature, theater, film, fashion, music, photography, and more—the magazine features intellectuals, artists, and creators from Spain, Latin America, the UK, and the US. With a commitment to inclusion, diversity, and innovative artistic expression, OriGinaL MagaZine explores new creative avenues through its reports, interviews, and journalistic articles.

In 2022, Micky served as a judge at the Creative Industry Awards in the UK and is part of the cast for the upcoming science fiction feature film B.E.A.R.S.
