Which of these “Big 4” bands is the better thrash band – Anthrax or Megadeth? That’s the question at the center of this week’s Chuck’s Fight Club on the Loudwire Nights radio show.

Anthrax represent the East Coast faction of thrash’s “Big 4” of the ’80s. The group was founded in 1981 and they’ve amassed 11 studio albums that have included such standouts as “Madhouse,” “Indians,” “Bring the Noise,” “Only,” “Ball of Confusion” and more.

Megadeth, meanwhile, formed in 1983 after Dave Mustaine’s split with Metallica. They’ve issued 16 studio albums with hits such as “Symphony of Destruction,” “Foreclosure of a Dream,” “Sweating Bullets,” “Angry Again,” “A Tout Le Monde,” “Trust,” “Crush ‘Em,” “Public Enemy No. 1” and “Dystopia.”

As with all Chuck’s Fight Club battles, host Chuck Armstrong will reveal the matchup during Monday’s Loudwire Nights airing at 8PM. He’ll make individual cases for Anthrax and Megadeth during Tuesday and Wednesday’s 8PM hours and you’ll have a chance to rank each band’s history throughout the week. The group with the higher ranking will then be featured in a Loudwire Nights rock block in the 8PM hour during Friday’s show.

Just this reminder, Loudwire Nights with Chuck Armstrong airs nightly starting at 7PM ET. You can tune in anytime, from anywhere right here or by downloading the Loudwire app.
