BTS singer Jungkook has dropped a teaser for his upcoming docufilm, I Am Still.
Released on August 21, the trailer for I Am Still opens with BTS’ Jungkook talking about his nerves right before a performance, followed by footage of him performing in the US.
Later in the clip, the K-pop star gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the recording and filming process for his solo album ‘Golden’ and its music videos, alongside brand-new interview footage.
I Still Am is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on September 18. Head to the film’s official website for more screening details.
Back in November, Jungkook guested on an episode of Suchwita hosted by bandmate Suga, where he shared that he was in the midst of shooting a documentary film. Fans are now speculating that I Am Still is the film the singer was talking about to.
Jungkook kicked off his solo career last July with his single ‘Seven’ featuring American rapper Latto. This was followed two months later by ‘3D’ featuring Jack Harlow. In November 2023, he released his solo album ‘Golden’ which was led by the single ‘Standing Next To You’.
Jungkook is currently serving his mandatory military service, having enlisted in December 2023. Last month, he released a fan-dedicated single titled ‘Never Let Go’ as part of BTS’ annual Festa celebrations.
Earlier today (July 12), Disney+ released the first trailer for its upcoming reality show Are You Sure?!, which follows Jungkook and BTS bandmate Jimin as they travel in the US, South Korea’s Jeju Island and Sapporo in Japan. It premieres later this month.
In other K-pop news, boy band ENHYPEN have made a comeback with their second studio album ‘Romance: Untold’. The new nine-track record is led by the single ‘XO (Only If You Say Yes)’.
