Day 4 of Glastonbury 2024 (Saturday, June 29) has come to a close – from Coldplay’s record-breaking headline set to Kasabian’s secret show at Woodsies, these are the biggest headlines from the day.

Fat White Family’s Lias Saoudi threw a jab at IDLESJoe Talbot during their set at Woodsies. Before playing the song ‘I Am Mark E Smith’, Saoudi dryly announced: “This is a song about my feminist zeal – it’s called ‘I am Joe Talbot’.”

In IDLES’ Glasto set the day before, Talbot had led a chant of “Fuck the King!” In Fat White Family’s set, Saoudi said: “God save the King! Fuck off.”

Legendary dance duo Orbital performed at Glastonbury for the seventh time, and invited out Spice Girl Mel C and actress Tilda Swinton out for the occasion. Swinton helped open Orbital’s set with ‘Deeper’, while the former Sporty Spice later joined the duo for ‘Spicy’, which samples Spice Girls tracks, including their hit ‘Wannabe’.
