Rapper Travis Scott was arrested and booked into Miami-Dade County jail early Thursday morning following an incident on a yacht at a local marina at 300 Alton Road, Miami Beach.
Houston-born Scott, also known as Jacques Bermon Webster, was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing, according to an arrest affidavit from the Miami Beach Police Department obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, which confirmed the 1:44 a.m. arrest.
“On scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendant’s breath. Officers spoke to the complainant who stated that he did not want to press charges and just wanted the defendant off of the vessel,” the affidavit stated.
After a warning to leave the dock, Scott allegedly “yelled obscenities” while walking backwards from the yacht, and eventually got into his car to drive away, according to the police report.
But the affidavit adds “the defendant returned approximately 5 minutes after Officer Rodriguez observed the defendant walking back towards the vessel.” After Scott allegedly “began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings,” he was taken into custody.
“The defendant later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated ‘It’s Miami,’” the affidavit stated. Scott was booked into jail at 4:35 a.m. and was later released on a $650 bond.
Scott made headlines in 2021 with the Astroworld concert tragedy that resulted in the deaths of 10 attendees and many more injuries.
