Taylor Momsen‘s latest performance with her rock band The Pretty Reckless will definitely go down as a memorable show for the singer.
The Gossip Girl alum shared on Instagram Friday that she was bitten by a bat while opening for AC/DC’s Power Up Tour in Sevilla, Spain, on Wednesday. As a result, she noted that she must undergo two weeks of rabies shots.
“So…ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during “Witches Burn” of all songs… a BAT 🦇 🦇 flew onto me and clung to my leg…in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing…he was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks,” Momsen wrote in the post’s caption. “Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me #batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning…more footage to come…that’s one for the books!!!!”
The rock singer also shared footage of the encounter on social media, which happened while she was performing the band’s song “Witches Burn.” In the video, Momsen initially appeared unaware that the bat was clinging to the side of her dress as fans tried to get her attention.
“I must really be a witch,” Momsen, seemingly calm, could be heard telling the crowd once she realized the critter was on her. “It’s alright and the bat’s fine. He’s gonna be my new friend.”
The Pretty Reckless are opening for AC/DC throughout the European leg of their tour before it wraps in August.
