When former assistant editor Zakiya Dalila Harris started her novel about the publishing business, she was inspired in part by Jordan Peele’s horror-turned-excavation of racism Get Out. The resulting book, The Other Black Girl, was in a 14-way bidding way, and went to Atria Books in a million-dollar deal. Now, it’s a TV show, and the trailer dropped today:

Directed by Rashida Jones, the Hulu show stars Sinclair Daniel as Nella, the only Black girl at a publishing company until a new assistant starts: Hazel (Ashleigh Murray). Initially hoping Hazel might be an ally, Nella finds that as she succeeds at the company things get darker and darker. (Than usual at a publisher.)

The 10-episode run will be available to stream on Hulu on September 13th.
