The Expendables 1, 2, & 3 Get New 4K SteelBook Releases

The Expendables, The Expendables 2, and The Expendables 3 are all getting brand-new SteelBook releases in 4K Ultra HD.

Available exclusively at Best Buy, the SteelBooks will be available for $27.99 each. All three SteelBooks come with a plethora of special features, including gag reels, deleted scenes, featurettes, and more. A Blu-Ray version and digital copy are also included.

Released in 2010, the first Expendables movie was directed and co-written by Sylvester Stallone. The plot sees Barney Ross (Stallone) enlist a team of highly dangerous mercenaries on a mission to take down a villainous dictator in South America. Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, and Giselle Itié all star in the film alongside Stallone. Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger also appear in minor cameo roles.

Expend4bles Is Coming to Theaters This September

A fourth Expendables film, titled Expend4bles, will release theatrically in the United States on Sept. 22, 2023. Stallone, Statham, Lundgren, and Couture will all reprise their roles for the film, while Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, and Andy García will also star.

“Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table,” the description of the film reads. “But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give ‘new blood’ a whole new meaning.”
