To ring in its one-year brand anniversary, Rhode is blessing us with the launch of a glossy new skincare innovation. Introducing Glazing Milk, the latest addition to the Rhode lineup and an “essential prep step” in achieving that widely sought after, hydrated, Hailey Bieber glow. Powered by a barrier-boosting trio of nourishing ceramides (the fatty acids found naturally in our skin that make up about half of our skin barrier), this creamy facial essence delivers an instant dose of soft sheen, while a skin-loving blend of magnesium, zinc, and copper in the formula helps to visibly plump up your complexion.

In a virtual Glazing Milk masterclass hosted by Rhode’s Head of Product Development Sarah Jones, a group of Canadian beauty editors and press soaked up all there is to know about this new release. “It’s perfect to use right after your cleanser, when you need to pack some moisture right into your skin and before you go into your next step—serums,” explains Jones. She also advised giving the product a shake before use to activate the tiny microemulsions within the formula and ensure you get a perfect pump of product every time.

Once you’ve patted the essence into your skin, you’re all prepped and ready to proceed with the rest of your skincare routine knowing your skin barrier is thanking you for it. “As Hailey says all the time: ‘A happy barrier is a healthy barrier!’” shared Jones. And our skin couldn’t be happier about bathing in Rhode’s Glazing Milk.

Chantal Kreviazuk is Back to Earth Skin’s new brand ambassador

We’ve got big news in the Canadian beauty space! This week, singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk was announced as the official brand ambassador of Back to Earth Skin — a 100% natural Canadian beauty brand with a clean beauty ethos. Known for her powerhouse vocals and philanthropic pursuits, Kreviazuk’s embodiment of the brand’s core beauty, sustainability, and ethical beliefs make her the ideal candidate for this partnership.

In a recent Zoom interview, Kreviazuk tells FASHION she was a fan of Back to Earth Skin before she had even been tapped for this ambassador role, and she had already been using the brand’s products organically in her skincare regimen (her favourite is the moisturizer). “I really liked the products and I loved that it was called Back to Earth,” she says. “I loved everything that I was being educated on, and everything I learned about its origin and the mission and all of our shared values.”

Having front-row access to the inner workings of the Canadian beauty industry, Kreviazuk tells us she feels a strong push forward in the beauty sphere. “I think the thing that’s exciting to me about Canadians in general but also the Canadian value system and [beauty] regulations is that we’re eliminating the bad stuff from our products. We’re protecting our citizens,” she shares.

In this new partnership, we’re excited to witness Kreviazuk continue to use her voice to advocate for the importance of natural beauty, the practice of self-care, and sustainability in the beauty industry. “I just want to make people feel like this is fun and exciting and it works! Get into a regimen of health and beauty and embrace your most organic self.”

Earlier this week, Paris Hilton kicked off Pride celebrations with her first live concert as a vocalist by having glammed-up Drag Queens Astor Yang, Gemini Dai Sexton, Indigo Dai, Fena Barbitall, Suade and Jonnie Reinhart greet attendees with spritzes of Paris Hilton Fragrances upon their arrival at the show, and then gifting them samples of floral-scented Love Rush and juicy Ruby Rush on their way out. A portion of ticket proceeds from the evening went to GLAAD — a non-profit organization with a focus on LGBTQ advocacy — while Hilton’s media brand 11:11 also contributed to the organization. Now that’s hot.
