Fast X Post-Credit Scene Features Shocking Fast & Furious Return

Film

According to the Fast X post-credit scene, it seems like a beloved character is returning to the Fast & Furious movie series.

Who appears in the Fast X post-credit scene?

TheWrap has reported that Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs appears in the post-credit scene of the latest Fast & Furious movie. This particular appearance is especially unexpected given the star’s frequent claims that he had no plans to return to the popular film series. In December 2021, Johnson spoke to CNN about his frustrations with series star Vin Diesel and his decision to exit the Fast & Furious franchise, saying:

“I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return. Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death. Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding. My goal all along was to end my amazing journey with this incredible Fast & Furious franchise with gratitude and grace.”

“Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path,” reads Fast X’s synopsis. “Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything — and everyone — that Dom loves, forever.”

Fast X stars Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, John Cena, Jason Statham, and Scott Eastwood, who reprise their respective roles in the film. The tenth installment also features the additions of franchise newcomers Jason Momoa, Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, and Alan Ritchson.

The movie is directed by Transporter director Louis Leterrier, who will also return for the series’ final installment. The film is written by Lin and Dan Mazeau, with Lin still attached as a producer.
