The world of deodorant is surprisingly complex and full of decisions to be made. Scented or unscented? Spray or roll on? To put our indecisive minds at ease, Dove has released a new sustainable option for repurchasing a deodorant. New to Canada, the brand’s refillable deodorants are made with an aluminum-free formula and come stocked with two refills stored in a minimalist case that slides into any purse for easy on-the-go use. Plus, they’re made of 96 per cent recycled plastic. This new launch sets Dove on the right track to reaching their goal of using no virgin plastics, and instead selling products that are made from 100 per cent post-consumer recycled plastics or can be reused or refilled exclusively by 2025.

With a background in marketing and organic skincare formulation, founder Michelle Notter funnelled her expertise into the creation of a natural, non-toxic skincare brand made to elevate skin health. On that note, we gladly welcome the arrival of her Ottawa-based brand Motter to the Canadian beauty market. Along with the brand’s launch come two products you’ll want to try. For a spa-like skincare experience, test the brands cleansing balm made with 80 per cent antioxidant-rich botanical oils that can break down water proof-makeup, and follow up with the vitamin C-infused exfoliating powder to remove dead skin and reveal smoother, brighter skin.
