Following the release of its Easter special, BBC has officially unveiled the first Doctor Who centenary special teaser for the upcoming final feature-length story of Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor. Fans will get to see Whittaker’s final adventure sometime this autumn.

The video, which you can check out below, reveals the return of The Master, the Thirteenth Doctor’s biggest enemy, who will appear in the special alongside other two villains, the Daleks and the Cybermen. It also teases the appearance of Doctor Who veterans Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred as they reprise their respective roles as Tegan and Ace from the earlier seasons of the time-traveling drama.

“Jodie’s final feature-length story contains a plethora of treats and surprises for audiences and fans, not least the return of two of the most beloved companions in the show’s history,” showrunner Chris Chibnall said in a statement. “They’ll be helping the Doctor fight on three fronts, against her deadliest enemies: the Master, Daleks, and Cybermen,  in one huge story! For the BBC’s Centenary, we’ll be celebrating the past, present, and future of Doctor Who, in a fittingly thrilling, epic, and emotional send-off for the Thirteenth Doctor.”

Doctor Who Season 13 stars Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor, Mandip Gill as Yasmin Khan, and John Bishop as Dan. Before she takes a bow, Whittaker has set three final specials, with the first two already available for viewing. Jodie’s final feature-length special, where the Thirteenth Doctor will regenerate, will transmit in autumn 2022 as part of the BBC’s Centenary celebrations.
