The New York Public Library has announced the finalists for its twenty-second annual Young Lions Fiction Award, which is given each year to an American writer age 35 or younger for either a novel or a collection of short stories.
The finalists are selected by a committee of writers, editors, and librarians, and a panel of judges will choose the winner, who will receive a $10,000 prize. This year’s judges are Venita Blackburn, Jonas Hassen Khemiri, and Catherine Lacey.
The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on June 16.
Congratulations to all the finalists!
