The climate crisis? Iron Man is on it. In between takes of his Marvel blockbusters, Robert Downey Jr., as it turns out, has cultivated an interest in nutrition and its implications for a person’s climate footprint. He’s partnering with Thomas M. Kostigen, a journalist and creator of USA Today‘s “Climate Survivalist” column, to co-author the upcoming Cool Food: Erasing Your Carbon Footprint One Bite at a Time, according to a Deadline exclusive.

Blackstone Publishing president and CEO Josh Stanton, who acquired the book, told Deadline it will provide “an approachable roadmap with practical steps to reduce our carbon footprint—and, with brilliant and witty Downey, Jr. and Kostigen at the helm, readers are sure to have a lot of fun as they learn, too.”

Kostigen previously wrote several books on climate change, including Hacking Planet Earth: Technologies That Can Counteract Climate Change and Create a Better Future, a look at developing technologies aimed at addressing global warming.
