StarDome Peru – a high-end, independently owned, exclusive, six-room luxury boutique hotel and retreat center – opened officially on February 1, 2022. Tucked between Cusco and Machu Picchu, in the heart of the Sacred Valley in Peru, the boutique hotel offers travelers a versatile and transformational getaway with deep local roots. Co-founded and run by the local indigenous Quechuan community, guests will be immersed in local culture and experience the epitome of rugged luxury at an elevation of 10,000 feet.

“We are beyond excited to invite guests to experience our all-inclusive retreats,” said founder Bob Berman. “StarDome Peru encompasses my journey with the land and its people and the healing elements I experienced first-hand.”

The retired lawyer started his spiritual quest in 2012 which led him to the Sacred Valley and Carlos Gibaja, a local Quechua shaman who showed him the magic of the area. It was through the local community and Carlos’s shamanic teachings that Bob was able to find healing and the inspiration to offer people the same opportunity. Bob’s personal home, which was purchased in 2018, was transformed into StarDome to connect travelers with the energies that radiate through the Andes Mountains.

StarDome Peru serves as a gateway to the region and provides native cultural experiences, nature immersions and spiritual encounters for those seeking not just to travel, but to heal. Although the one-of-a-kind geodesic dome boutique hotel is located in an ultra-remote location only accessible through a private road, once guests arrive, they will be transported to a luxurious paradise. One with heated marble floors and handmade ceramic bathrooms where the staff, who are 100 percent local with no prior hospitality training, enthusiastically serve.

“It was my goal to both open the eyes, hearts and minds of travelers while giving back to the community,” said Bob.

The bottom floor of the geodesic dome offers access to five guest suites which range between 400-sf and  800-sf. These five suites: the Garden Mountain, Garden Valley, one of two Sacred Valley Suites and the Royal Mountain Suite are inspired by traditional Incan decor and each feature a private stone shower, traditional Inca-inspired tiling by world-renowned Peruvian ceramic artist Seminario, handmade blankets and hotel-like amenities. The Royal Mountain Suite is double the size of the other suites and includes a double jacuzzi and a private entrance to the  StarDeck™, the heart – and most eye-catching – element of the property. The immersive StarDeck™ is accessed by a stairwell and features floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a 360-degree view which transports guests to feel like they are one with the sky.

Its sixth accommodation is the Royal Apu Suite towers above StarDome in a stand-alone, cabin-like structure. Future plans call for as many as ten more suites, a healing center for yoga and groups up to 20 with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and endless views.
