If you’ve ever spent any serious time on Zillow (and if you’re between the ages of 30 and 45 you probably have?) you’ll know that people make some pretty wild and terrible decisions with their homes. It’s no surprise, then, that an Instagram account like Zillow Gone Wild, which has over one million followers, recently made its way to the local news.

Why? Some rich weirdo thought it would be cool to put cheap bookshelves right next to their bathroom sink and fill them with paperbacks. Maybe this happened during the initial toilet paper shortages of spring 2020? Who is to say. Surely not I. But everyone who follows the Zillow Gone Wild went wild. It was wild.

Please enjoy this delightful clip of local Roanoke tv news anchors engaging in my favorite kind of journalism, the amiable reading of social media comments.
