Okay, this isn’t necessarily the latest beauty news, but we’re big fans of thoughtful beauty products that give back. Vancouver-based Lemongrass House, a speciality retail and wholesale shop that offers spa-quality body products handmade by Thai artisans, has teamed with two fellow Canadians, JUNO-winning singer and songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk and contemporary portrait artist Carling Jackson, on a four-piece product collection — the sale of which supports War Child, a humanitarian organization that has been protecting children affected by the ravages of war for the past twenty years. Called Uplift (a nod to its mood-boosting scent), the product line features striking artwork by Jackson, which was inspired by drawings of children in the War Child program, and includes a heart-shaped soap bar ($12), a room and pillow spray ($21), a hand cream ($21), clothing spray ($21) and an essential oil ($30).
