We’re sure your appetite for virtual events is undiminished by nine months of Zoom calls, so make sure you register for the best one yet.
After an outrageously successful inaugural event last year, Telecoms.com LIVE has been transformed into a digital symposium, no less, for reasons that will be only to obvious. You see, the whole point of Telecoms.com LIVE was to get a bunch of us together in a room to have a great big chat. The banning of exactly that kind of activity, therefore, presented us with a bit of a challenge.
But we’re made of sterner stuff here at Telecoms.com and weren’t about to let a global pandemic cramp our style. So on 20 October we’re going to fire up our trusty webinar platform and bring you the kind of vibrant telecoms discussion we know you’ve been longing for all year.
Editor Scott Bicheno will host the first session, commencing at 14:00 GMT and focused on the 5G transition, which will feature short keynote presentations from Karine Dussert-Sarthe, Director of Product Marketing & Design at Orange, and Dr. Sameh Yamany, CTO at Viavi Solutions. There will then be an extended panel discussion featuring four industry experts, and Scott, which will reflect on the first year of 5G and look to its future, and at the end of which we will be taking questions from the audience.
Head of Telecoms.com Intelligence Wei Shi takes over to host the second session at 15:40 focused on what 5G means for businesses, which will commence with a keynote from Oliver Cantor, Associate Director, Product Strategy, Verizon. There will be a bunch more experts joining in the second panel session to fully explore the new B2B opportunities presented by 5G.
It will all be wrapped up by 17:00 or so, after which we fully encourage everyone involved to make full use of their drinks cabinets, or even go out if you’re lucky enough to be allowed. What possible reason is there not to attend? One of the advantages of the digital format is that the venue has limitless capacity, so why don’t you just go ahead and register now? See you next Tuesday.
