Watched at Home: Top 20 Streaming Films for Week of May 29

Look out fellow couch potatoes, here comes The Invisible Man! After missing out on DEG’s Top 20 Watched at Home list early on, most likely due to its high rental price tag, the Universal horror flick has suddenly found a large enough audience to leap all the way to No. 2 in this week’s streaming list. Mighty impressive for a flick that sat at No. 14 last week.

Even so, that wasn’t enough to bump last week’s champ, Sonic the Hedgehog, from its perch at the top spot. I imagine next week might tell a different story, but who really knows at this point?

No. 3 and 4 belong to Birds of Prey and Bad Boys for Life, respectively, while the remaining list consists of mainstays such as Jumanji: The Next Level (No. 5), The Call of the Wild (No. 9), Dolittle (No. 13) and The Way Back (No. 15). The only real surprises are the appearance of Rick and Morty: Season 4 (No. 16) and Universal’s Emma (No. 20). Also, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker fell out of the Top 20 completely for the first time since its inclusion. Oh, how the mighty hath fallen. I think that’s Shakespeare. No? Is it not Shakespeare? I always thought it was.

As a side, imagine if no other films were ever released. Would this be our list until the end of time?
