Netflix’s Johnny Test Series Gets New Trailer and July Release Date

Johnny Test will be making his return on Netflix on July 16. A trailer was revealed giving us a good idea of what to expect from the new cartoon series.

The trailer the titular character alongside his genetically modified talking dog Dukey, and his two sisters Mary and Susan as they get into some wild hijinks using their GPScape device. Traveling to the “funnest places on Earth,” Johnny and the gang see themselves into some trouble as they come across an evil baby robot, a giant luchador, and other wild scenarios. The new season of Johnny Test will see the return of much of its voice cast. This includes James Arnold Taylor as Johnny, Trevor Devall as Dukey, Ashleigh Ball as Mary, and Maryke Hendrikse as Susan. The trailer also gives a taste of what you can expect from the shows theme song.

Johnny Test was created by Scott Fellows and produced by Cookie Jar Entertainment. Fellows is also known for his world on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Big Time Rush, and Supernoobs. It originally premiered on Kids WB back in 2005 up until season three. The series continued on Cartoon Network in 2008. The last season to air on television was season 16, which began in 2013 and ended in 2014.

The streamer is no stranger to bringing back dormant franchises. Shows like Gilmore Girls, Full House, and Arrested Development have all seen revivals on Netflix. In fact, it was just announced that the streamer will be bringing back Masters of the Universe.
