My Hero Academia Season 6 Gets Poster, Premiere Date Set

Fans must wait until October to see the My Hero Academia Season 6 premiere.

During the Hero Fes 2022 that went down on Sunday in Tokyo, it was announced that My Hero Academia Season 6 would premiere in Japan on Sunday, Oct. 1. American fans can also rejoice for the news since Crunchyroll will likely simulcast the episode on the same day in the U.S. The adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi ended its fifth run on Sept. 25, 2021. The upcoming season will bring new adventures for Izuku Midoriya and his superpowered friends.

Ahead of the My Hero Academia Season 6 premiere, fans can watch the upcoming two-episode original video animation, which will debut on Crunchyroll on Monday, Aug. 1. In addition to the usual heroes, the new special will see the appearance of Shishido and Mr. Smiley. Shishido is a lion-themed professional hero, while Mr. Smiley is a vandal who scribbles on things for artistic purposes.

For those who might have missed the train on My Hero Academia, the series is available to stream in its entirety as of now. Currently, all 113 episodes of the anime are available to stream in both subbed and dubbed formats on Crunchyroll for those looking to catch up.

My Hero Academia began as a manga series written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. It was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The anime television adaptation made its debut in 2016. Both are still ongoing.
