If the notion of a luxury resort, rushing clear river waters, fine dining and stunning mountainous views gets you excited, The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is the next vacation you need to book. Located in Avon, Colorado, this elevated stay brings together timeless elements of elegance, relaxing essence found it its spa, inspired dining experience by Richard Sandoval, and rooms that will have you ready to move in.

Overlooking the Beaver Creek Ski Mountain, The Westin Riverfront is situated riverside in the Vail Valley. Year-round views and aquatic melodies of the Eagle River make for a perfect backdrop to the property. A mountainous lobby with fireplaces and lounge areas welcomes guests upon arrival, with soaring windows framing the vista beyond. I’ve stayed at Westin Riverfront a few times and each time I’m delighted with a new aspect of the property; whether it is exploring the spa menu, taking a dip in the riverside hot tubs, trying out a wellness class or lounging in updated rooms—the resort has always a new offering for me to experience and explore.

Upstairs, rooms and residences entice guests with well-appointed accommodations. The new One Riverfront being the final opportunity of ownership on the property, the seamless tie of main hotel and resort, condominiums and townhomes is artfully joined together with easily traversed pathways leading to an attractive central saline pool that reflects the mountains beyond and firepit-lit terrace for convenient gondola access that whisks guests up the mountain.

A popular spot on property is the main lobby with ample lounge areas complete with fireplaces. An open concept flowing into a bar area and restaurant beyond, guests enjoy the space day and night. Ski Valet Service Express® during the winter can be found on the same level with an easy walk to the gondola, and the front drive is a launching point for bike rides or hikes in the summer. Downstairs, a wealth of fitness opportunities abound from private sessions with trainers, state-of-the-art gym equipment and classes, a 25-yard pool and peaceful yoga studio. If all that activity leaves you sore, head to nearby Spa Anjali for mountain-inspired treatments.

Richard Sandoval’s Stoke & Rye is a new addition to the property, ushering in a new era of contemporary American cuisine to the resort. Previously Sandoval’s Maya, the newly re-imagined concept includes craft cocktails, Colorado craft beers, and alpine-inspired dishes for hungry diners. Insider tip: reserve a seat on the patio or belly up to the outdoor bar for the elevated views and sound of the river below while enjoying the international Chef’s culinary offerings.
